This Factory provides a marvelous collection of 18th century and Country French Furniture designs
faithfully reproduced from measured drawings of museum-quality furnishings. Each piece
is carved, sanded, polished, and finished by hand to enhance the natural grain of the very
special Cuban and Dominican Seed Mahogany. These varieties most closely resemble the
woods prized by 18th Century cabinetmakers. They are hard and closely grained mahoganies
featuring a rose hue which enhances the interesting figure in its quarter-sawn grain.
Noteworthy features include imported hand-made glass with the same air pockets found in
centuries-old glass, solid brass hardware and fittings. The connoisseur of cabinetry will
appreciate the fine hand crafted drawers, locks on all exterior drawers, removable
dust proofing and case backs attached with screws. An important aspect is choice of options.
For instance, the dining or conference tables featured in round, square, or rectangular shapes are offered
with exquisite borders and edge bandings; to complement the tables is a wide selection of
chair designs of exquisite proportion for both side and arm.
You will be amazed at the detail in all of these pieces.
Fine Furniture features solid, hand-carved accessories that also replicate 18th century boxes
and trays from collections in England. All are handcrafted in environmentally safe,
plantation-grown swetenia mahogany. Finishes are hand rubbed to achieve heirloom quality.
Unique design elements, like secret drawers in our boxes, set these accessories apart
from the ordinary. This attention to detail translates into quality that will last for
generations.
